Partnership aims to strengthen global journalism cooperation and social dialogue
New York. In a significant step toward fostering international cooperation among journalists and social institutions, the President of the SAARC Journalist Forum (SJF), Raju Lama, has reached an agreement for collaboration with Yuriy Zakharov, President of the World Union of Cossack Atamans.
The agreement was finalized during a recent high-level interaction, where both leaders emphasized the importance of unity, dialogue, and mutual understanding in today’s complex global environment. The collaboration is expected to promote stronger ties between journalists across regions, while also highlighting social, cultural heritage and shared values.
Speaking on the occasion, SJF President Lama noted that the partnership would open new avenues for cross-border media cooperation, professional exchange programs, and joint initiatives aimed at promoting peace and accurate information dissemination.
Yuriy Zakharov also expressed optimism about the collaboration, stating that the World Union of Cossack Atamans looks forward to working closely with SJF to build bridges between communities and support independent journalism efforts worldwide.
